9:30 am — Dennis Pilaske (Of Chippewa Nature Center Fame)
Join Dennis for a great nature sing along! Dennis Pilaske, Director of Interpretation at the Chippewa Nature Center, is one of four songwriters/singers featured on a newly-recorded CD “Good Four-tunes”. Dennis believes that he can help enhance understanding of nature through music. Dennis wrote four songs on the CD about maple trees, maple syrup, and the rivers of our county, and he also sings them accompanying himself on the bass guitar or mandolin.
10:30 am/1:30 pm — Guy “Louis” Sferlazza
Guy Louis Sferlazza has been performing his Chautauqua Express Musical Programs for over 25 years. “Chautauquas” were traveling shows popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing education, culture and entertainment to even the most isolated rural communities. Often setting up under big tents, they would stay in town for a day or more and present programs for the entire community where people could learn some things and also have some fun with dancers, singers, teachers and speakers.
